Tart cherries are very perishable, so the best way to preserve these cherries is to pick them right from the trees, then have them pitted right after you pick them. This way, you can pop them in your freezer for pies, smoothies, and ice cream topping year ’round!
Sweet cherries are still available for pick your own. They should be available through the week but tapering off towards the weekend.
