SUMMARY:Apple Days 2026 | Apple Picking & Cider | King Orchards
DESCRIPTION:Apple Days at King Orchards is a two-weekend celebration of the apple harvest in Antrim County\, Northern Michigan. The first weekend runs Saturday\, October 3 and Sunday\, October 4\, from 9am-4pm\, at our farm on M-88 in Central Lake. \nJust about every variety\, all at once \nThis is the one weekend of the year when nearly every apple we grow is ready at the same time. That makes it the best chance to taste your way through the orchard and find the variety you actually want to take home by the bushel. Honeycrisp\, McIntosh\, Gala\, Empire and more\, each one a little different. \nIf you’re stocking up\, ask us which ones keep. Honeycrisp stored in a cold fridge will still be good eating next spring. \nApple picking in Northern Michigan \nOur u-pick orchard is open both days of Apple Days weekend\, along with the farm stand for anyone who’d rather skip the ladder. Bags and bushel boxes are available when you arrive. The rows are an easy walk\, so bring the kids and take your time. Early October is the beginning of Fall Colors\, which makes the drive out as good as the destination. \nFresh cider\, pumpkins and fall on the farm \nFresh-pressed apple cider is ready\, and it tastes like this time of year. You’ll also find pumpkins for carving\, squash and gourds for the table\, plus all the fall fun that comes with a working orchard in October. \nPlan your visit \nApple Days is free to attend\, and no tickets or reservations are needed. \nKing Orchards\n4620 N M-88\, Central Lake\, MI 49622 \nMarket open Saturday 9am-6pm\, Sunday 9am-4pm\nU-Pick open Saturday 9am-4pm\, Sunday 9am-3pm \nApple Days runs two weekends. This is weekend one. Weekend two is October 10 & 11. Our U-Pick Orchard is also open daily through the season.

SUMMARY:Apple Days 2026: Weekend 2 | Apple Picking & Cider | King Orchards
DESCRIPTION:The second weekend of Apple Days at King Orchards runs Saturday\, October 10 and Sunday\, October 11\, at our farm in Central Lake\, Michigan. \nA different orchard than a week ago \nApples don’t all ripen at once. Varieties come on through October\, so the second weekend of Apple Days picks differently than the first. If you came out on the 3rd or 4th\, there will be new varieties ready and different rows open for u-pick. Worth a second trip\, and a good reason to compare notes on which apple won you over. \nU-pick apples and the farm stand \nOur u-pick orchard is open both days\, with bags and bushel boxes here when you arrive. If picking isn’t your thing\, the farm stand has fresh-picked apples ready to go\, along with everything else that comes out of the orchard this time of year. \nThis is also the weekend to think about storage. Some varieties eat best right off the tree\, and others\, Honeycrisp especially\, will keep in a cold fridge until spring. Ask us and we’ll point you to the right rows. \nCider\, pumpkins and the last of the fall color \nFresh-pressed cider\, pumpkins\, winter squash and gourds are all here. Mid-October has amazing fall colors in Antrim County\, so the drive up M-88 is worth the trip on its own. \nPlan your visit \nApple Days is free\, with no tickets or reservations. The farm is an easy drive from Traverse City\, Elk Rapids\, Charlevoix and Petoskey. \nKing Orchards\n4620 N M-88\, Central Lake\, MI 49622\nMarket Hours: Saturday 9am-6pm\, Sunday 9am-4pm\nU-Pick Hours: Saturday 9am-4pm\, Sunday 9am-3pm \nThis is the closing weekend of Apple Days 2026. Our U-Pick Orchard stays open daily while the season lasts.
