With the disruption to the SNAP program, food banks are going to be under immense pressure to help feed their communities. King Orchards has had a long relationship with our local food banks, and we are making it easy for YOU to help provide fresh, healthy food to those who need support. WE WILL AMPLIFY YOUR DONATION. For every $10 donated by you, we will send 40 lbs of squash, apples or pears to be dispersed in our community. Your donation helps us cover the harvest costs.
We’ve already donated more than 8,000 lbs of fresh produce this year, and with your help we’re aiming for 20,000 lbs by January 1. Every dollar translates into real pounds of fresh food. Partners Manna Food Project and Food Rescue of Northern Michigan help us maximize reach and reduce waste by connecting fresh food to families in need.
