Are there pesticides used in the growing of these cherries?
Judith,
We are very proud of our farming practices, and strive to take care of our land, our trees, and our community. We use a combination of regenerative, organic, and integrated pest management solutions on our farm. This combination of practices lets us take care of our farm the way that we feel is best. Because we farm in northern Michigan, where we get a lot of rain, use of certain fungicides is necessary to prevent mold on our fruit. In addition, we test our 100% Montmorency tart cherry concentrate every year for purity standards. I hope this answers your question.
do you need to refrigerate unopened 3 quart box
Scott,
We prefer that you keep the box in a cool place, either refrigeration or freezer. This will keep the concentrate from oxidizing.
