Sweet Cherry U-Pick Coming to an End, Tart Cherries at Their Prime

Pick your own sweet cherries will be coming to a close in the next couple days. Sweet cherries are very

valuable this year because of the gaining popularity of black cherry yogurt and ice cream (our favorite flavor here at King Orchards). Due to this, we have to harvest the sweet cherries on schedule with the processors. There is still good picking out there until the harvest begins which could be Monday or Tuesday. Tart cherries are at their prime right now and will be going for another week or so. The pitter has been constantly running with happy customers ready to make pies or freeze their cherries.  Tart cherries are $1.00/lb and $1.00/13 lb u-pick bucket for pitting. We have had a spectacular pick your own cherry season and want to thank ALL of our loyal and new customers who came out this year to join us for a great growing season. We hope to see everyone out for u-pick apricots, peaches, and nectarines in August and apples in the fall!
