Red Haven Peaches are Here!

The Red Haven peaches all you canners have been waiting for are in! The extreme winter temperatures took a toll on the trees so it is a slightly lighter crop than usual. We hope to have u-pick through the week. We also have them available in our markets. Our apricot season is beginning to wind down. We ended up with a larger crop than expected, however we did have a tough time staying in front of the u-pick because they ripen so unevenly. U-pick ended up lasting longer because we had so many that had yet to ripen once the big wave came. Today we will be sending our skilled hands crew out to pick the rest of what is left on the trees, but we will have them available in our markets for the next few days. We also have quite a few “jam cots” which are just softer apricots that are perfect for jam.
