King Orchards is Going Green!

It’s spring and everything on the farm is going green!

We are in the transition of changing our cherry juice concentrate and capsule labels as well as re-introducing a new 1 ounce, single serving cherry juice concentrate packet. This transition has been happening for quite a while so we are all excited that ALL of our concentrate labels will match and they just so happen to all be green! Here is a sneak peak at our products!

Along with our new product line going green, our fruit stands are also going green. We just invested in a boat load of blue recycle bins trying to decrease our carbon footprint. We have always recycled in the past, however having these recycle bins EVERYWHERE has made everyone aware of how much “trash” could actually be recycled.

As far as the orchard goes, EVERYTHING is turning green! We just put in two new frost fans to keep things green in case it gets too cold at night. We got a load of dwarfing sweet cherry trees in and are busy planting. Dwarfing sweet cherries are a new horticultural pursuit of ours as we continue to make our orchard more convenient for pick your own fruit.

Along with dwarfing sweet cherries, we also have been planting dwarfing apple trees. The ones in the picture are Northern Spy and Mutsu but we also have a small heritage block we are planting as well.
