Raspberry picking and Sweet Cherry picking

We received almost an inch of rain today. That is great news for the parched trees and crops.
The raspberries finally are ripening and tomorrow (Tues July 9) will be an excellent day because so many berries are ripening for easy picking. They are $4.00/pint but deals can be had on a flat of 8 pints.

 The sweet cherries are rolling in. The light varieties like Emperor Francis sized up today and they are sweet. The black sweet cherries are so good that I am eating myself sick. All of this week and next week should be great picking. The rain has cracked some of the sweets but we have lots to choose from. The u-pick cherries are $1.50/lb.
